International Surfing Day

The Surfrider Foundation Vancouver Chapter would like to invite you to participate in the sixth annual International Surfing Day (ISD). This global celebration of the sport of surfing is scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 20th. SURFING Magazine will be working with the Surfrider Foundation to use this day to also help raise awareness of beach and coastal environmental issues.

Is The World’s Best Artificial Reef in India?

When a video of a barreling left breaking on an artificial reef in India showed up on Surfline a few weeks ago, the entire surf world was intrigued.   While a few new surf spots have been created via man made reefs in the past few years, none have produced a consistently world class wave.  This one, however, in India of all places, looked like the real deal.

Rip Curl Stew Entry Forms

The Rip Curl Stew is next weekend!!!

If your interested in competing come down to the Sitka Vancouver surf shop and get you entry forms. The Stew is for all ages so get in there. Deadline in Thursday June 3rd. Oh and don't forget this event will be the qualifiers for the Cold Water Classic in the fall. This event was major last year, Good luck!!

Cold Water Classic Scotland Comes to an End.

Despite howling winds, pouring rain and freezing cold temperatures, it was the surf that took center stage on the fifth and last day of competition at the O’Neill Cold Water Classic Scotland.
