Sitka Surf Team member, Leah Oke, recently got the first women's cover of SBC Surf Magazine ever! You probably already knew that though. But, you may not know that Leah travels the globe whenever possible searching out the best waves on which to surf and the nicest beaches on which to chill.
Leah relayed a story from one of her recent travel experience, which we've retold below. You can also read an interview with her for SBC here.

The Water's Edge Project launched their short film, My Home, Our Home, after a successful fundraising event in Victoria last week.

Sitka attended the 10th annual Clean Water Classic in West Port last weekend.
Leah Oke won the women's shortboard contest and came third in the women's longboard contest. Congratulations, Leah!

As we mentioned earlier, Sitka surf team member, Leah Oke, won the Queen of the Peak contest that kicked off the Cold Water Classic.
There are now some photos from the contest up on the Queen of the Peak website. They'll be posting more, so keep checking back.
