On May 5th, 2010, four young Victoria residents embarked on The Tandem Tour, a two and a half month journey from Victoria to Halifax on a custom built four-person bicycle, to raise money for four different charities: the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the Canadian Diabetes Association, the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, and the Friends of Redtail Society. On July 21st, nearly 6200 kilometres, and two-and-a-half months after departing Victoria, the team achieved their goal by reaching Halifax, Nova Scotia. 

 

Two specific goals were the driving force behind the trip. The first was to raise at least twenty thousand dollars for four great causes, each specifically dear to each member of the team. The second was to embark on an epic adventure, and make a documentary film about it.

 

Due to the hard work of Benjamin Gulliver the footage of the trip has been compiled into a riveting documentary film about friendship, adventure, and the power of giving The Tandem Tour Documentary will premier Thursday March 10th at Lucky Bar in Victoria, and Friday March 11th at VIVO Media Arts in Vancouver!
