Holy moly, was that ever one for the record books! Our grand opening party went down with typical Sitka shenanigans. The Sitka Victoria crew rolled into town around 4 pm to show the new Sitka Vancouver crew how we roll on shop party days.
Starting with 4 pm in-store shot guns and ending in 12:30 am in-store police visits, the party was a total success. The entertainment - provided by DJ Jon Marshall, Topless Gay Love Tekno Party and the Victoria staff who didn't have to clean up the aftermath for once - was a hit. Ben Frey's art exhibit, Unnecessary Mountain, garnered lots of positive attention, and the delectables, provided by the Noodle Box, were devoured as they hit the floor. And don't forget the beverages that got us really fired up. Brew Works, Barefoot Wines and Pilsner bottle returns will basically pay the floor staff for the next month.
A huge thanks goes out to everyone that came to celebrate with us. We hope to see you around the shop on the regular and we'll be sure to let you know the next time we're going to throw down.
