Sustainable Coastlines

Run by young kiwis, Sustainable Coastlines is a multi award-winning charity that protects the coastlines we all love. They organise massive community coastal clean-up events and deliver educational presentations to schools, organisations and businesses who want to learn how to look after the coastline.

Since early 2008 they have motivated more than 12,500 volunteers to remove over 670,000 litres (95+ tonnes) of trash from coastlines. This raises large-scale awareness about the challenges of coastline protection and presents solutions for the community to take on the issues themselves.

Through direct participation, wide-reaching media exposure and by personally connecting with over 14,000 school students, they have had a huge impact in a short time.

So if you love your coast, get in touch with Sustainable Coastlines and help out. It will make a real difference to your slice of paradise and make you feel pretty damn good too.
