As is the case with big brother Reid, Arran draws much of his inspiration for surfing through his interest in film, music, and art. His background in skateboarding is instantly apparent in his surfing, and his go for it approach in bigger waves and in the skatepark often see him taking either some brutal poundings or often making the wave of the day. Over the past few years, Arran has bounced back and forth between Tofino and Victoria, the latter being his current place of residence. And even though he is enrolled in school at the moment, Arran still finds plenty of time to trek around the island in search of waves, hiking into numerous out of the way spots and toting a super-8 camera with him wherever he goes.
