For the second consecutive year the Canadian edition of the O'neill Coldwater Classic seiries hits the beachbreaks of Tofino. This week, Ninety-six up-and-coming surfers from around the world will battle it out for the title of Canadian Coldwater Cassic champ. Pete Devries, Tofino local and last years winner, just made it through the first round this morning by beating out Jay Quinn of New Zealand, and Balaram Stack, of the U.S. Noah Coen, Sitka team rider, has yet to compete as the contest was called off for the day due to surging tides. Contest organisers will decide at 7:30 a.m October 11th whether heat five will proceed. Good luck to Pete And Noah! We'll keep you posted.
