You Should'a been there!!

If you happened to be some of the unfortunate few who were not able to get their tickets in time for the highly anticipated release of the 204 movie, then the old saying "you snooze, you loose" applies to you. The Norway house was packed to capacity, with all your friends and heroes from your local sk8 spot. Once the doors were closed and the lights dimmed, all the excitement and anitcipation exploded in applause as each of the athletes took to the big screen, in an amazing display of local talant. Somewhere near the end of the movie I removed my mind from the screen, took a step back, and observed not the action that was the focus of the event, but the happenings, inside the Norway house itself. People were beyond the edge of their seat and infact standing upon them yelling, and screaming with passion. Friends and strangers embraced and cheers'd each other in appreciation for what skateboarding in Victoria is today. It is hard to imagine anyone who was in attendance leaving with anything less than a huge smile from ear to ear, even if they were lucky enough to have one of their new "brothers" pour a full beer over their head! The 204 have put an immense effort into their passion, which will be remembered for many years to come, as not just another night at the Norway house, but as the night the 204 brought down the house. You should'a been there!
